A camlock coupling works by inserting an adapter into the extended arms of the coupler. Then, pull down both arms cam arms at the same time, so as to lock the adapter in the coupler. The cam arms are then held onto the adapter groove tightly, paired with a rubber seal in the coupler groove that prevents leakage. Extra protection is given by the safety pin in the coupler holes, just in case the cam arms are disconnected or accidentally opened.
